Our Story
Beginnings
In 1992, a group of high school students formed a hobbyists’ club, powered by their passion for building exciting software. This led them to successfully develop local language software products – ‘Helawadana’ and ‘Arichchuwadu’.
Their adventurous and entrepreneurial spirit then led to the establishment of Microimage Private Limited in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in 1995.

M I H C M Solutions, incorporated in 1995, focuses on Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions that help businesses transform their legacy HR into digital, cloud-based HR for better efficiency, higher performance, on-demand access, and the best security.
In 2014, MIHCM established its first regional operations, with Public Listed Malaysian Tech Conglomerate Omesti Sdh Bhd and formed a joint venture, MIHCM Asia Sdn Bhd in Malaysia. Today, MIHCM Asia is the ASEAN headquarters for marketing, sales, channel management, implementation and post-implementation support services for the region.
In 2014 another bold decision was made – to move to a cloud-based HR platform. After a three-year engineering effort, the all-new future-driven MiHCM HR software was unveiled in 2017: the MiHCM Cloud – SaaS Digital HCM Platform. The company also obtained ISO 9001:2015 in the same year.
Today, MIHCM delivers powerful experiences through MiHCM Lite, MiHCM Enterprise, MiA, and Data & AI and serves an international clientele of 1,000+ companies across 20+ countries in diverse industry verticals such as Banking and Finance, Technology, Manufacturing, and Telecommunication.
MIHCM was recognised as ‘Microsoft ISV Partner of the Year’ for 2022 in Malaysia and ‘ISV of the Year in Southeast Asia New Markets’ in 2019 and 2020. In 2024, MIHCM Asia Sdn Bhd was awarded the prestigious Malaysia Digital status by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), which drives Malaysia’s digital economy.
With a strong market presence in Asia and a prominent presence in Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Thailand in Southeast Asia, and Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Maldives in South Asia, MIHCM harnesses the power of workplace, workforce, and work data with cloud-based data and AI solutions. MiHCM also possesses a strong partner network in 13 countries, ensuring a seamless customer service experience.
Futura Tech Labs
In 2007, Microimage incorporated Futura Tech Labs (previously known as Microimage Mobile Media) to develop media broadcasting, mobile, and niche solutions. The company built some ground-breaking products, such as mStudio – Asia’s first-ever comprehensive radio automation solution that powers almost all radio networks and channels in Sri Lanka. This solution is also being used in Malaysia and Brunei.
Futura further built a disaster warning system that helps Sri Lanka’s Disaster Management Centre (DMC) disseminate information quickly. Since then, the company has developed solutions for TV broadcasting, entertainment, and health and works with clients in the US, UK, Haiti, and Dubai.
In 2022, the company incorporated Futura Tech Labs Pte Ltd in Singapore, making it its second office with further plans to expand into the Asian market.

Microimage is a global player with a market presence in 20+ countries and an impact of over 10 million. The company has offices in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Australia and is constantly expanding its solutions and business. Today, Microimage serves over 250,000 users in 1,000+ companies in 20+ countries in diverse sectors such as Banking and Finance, Media Broadcasting, Entertainment, Security, Manufacturing, Telco, Aviation, Retail, and Technology companies, driven by 25+ dedicated partners.
